Make this your go-to for delivery! We've ordered from them several times, and it's always been hot, fresh and amazing. The pizza-like menu items are just as good as the regular pizza. So, unlike some other pizza chains, there are so many options other than just a plain pizza. We've liked the Scooby snacks, which are similar to a calzone, but much longer. The meat was really generous, and overall cooked perfectly. We also really enjoyed the rattlesnake pasta, just spicy enough. All of the cheesy, garlicky breads are amazing! Overall, everything's fabulous and great to indulge in.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Pizza was delivered to hotel in 20 min and it was hot. Top of your mouth burning lava hot. I can't remember the name of the pizza I ordered but it was a chicken pizza with white sauce, tomatoes. I took the green peppers off and added artichokes. I can't wait to go back and try something different.

Ordered online and had the nicest, most polite service ever for delivery. Knew it was going to kind of be a wait with the holiday weekend, it still arrived it a very reasonable time. Breadsticks and pizza were piping hot and tasted amazing. Prices comparable to the big box places, but the flavor and quality so much richer. Plus there are SO many more options. Having recently moved to the area I'm so glad I decided to shop local, this is my new go to pizza joint.

I got a pizza and breadsticks which I picked up from the restaurant. I would have preferred delivery but $2.25 delivery fee seems high, especially since I doubt it goes to the driver so I still have to tip them $2.00 too. The online ordering system is a bit.... peculiar but I managed to navigate it and place my order easily enough. I will say I wouldn't mind if they were to participate with paypal (or maybe even grubhub) so I wouldn't have to track down my wallet and type in my card number when ordering. I am a big fan of the crust and the breadsticks, they are both really well done and taste fantastic. The toppings and sauce were fine, just nothing particularly impressive. I have been told that the Scooby Snacks are what I should be getting from here and next time I'll give that a shot. Edit: had to re-review after ordering today. The pizza I got was as expected but I didn't realize it was possible to sell wings as gross as they do. They are clearly from frozen thrown through the oven so they would have poor texture/flavor even if they were properly cooked but the batch we got today was not cooked long enough so they had gross texture and had sloppy and wet meat.

Haven't tried the pizza yet, but I looooove the breadsticks!!!!! Very fresh, hot, and best of all.. Loaded with garlic butter! I will definitely go back and try other items.

Ordered for pick up over the phone and they said it would be ready in 15minutes. We were impressed that the pizza we ordered was ready when we got there. We ordered the grinder pizza with garlic butter crust. It was delicious!! And the price was very reasonable as well.

The hand-tossed pizza is pretty good. However, don't get the wings. I've had them a few times, and they are really soggy.

We're in town for the state track meet this weekend and found the Northern Lights Pizza using Yelp. After looking at the online menu we ordered 4 pizzas, two with specialty crusts (garlic and parmesan). Very tasty 'za! Delivered quickly....hot and fresh. Thanks for a great referral!

I was really craving taco pizza. I looked into other typical places like pizza hut or other big box names-- I didn't find what I was looking for. Like the other reviewer, I noticed Northern Lights delivery cars more than others in this area. So I thought I would give them a try. I was impressed to see I could order online (lived in Washington, DC for 3.5 years and everything was order-able online whereas it doesn't seem to be the norm here). I decided to order some asiago bread sticks, a medium taco pizza, and a two-liter of Pepsi (because I guess it's not legal to deliver beer, so I'll take another carbonated beverage). I was quoted a delivery time of 40 minutes. When the pizza arrived 30 minutes later, I was happy to feel the heat radiating off my pizza and a chilled Pepsi bottle. The taco pizza came with the toppings (lettuce, tomatoes, Doritos) on the side with lots of taco sauce packets. The pizza itself was smothered in delicious cheese with lots of ground beef and onions. It was tasty! I ordered it as a thing crust, but with so much cheese the crust became very soggy quickly. I think a hearty crust would stand up to the cheese or I could ask for less cheese. It was a good pie and taste great. The bread sticks were tasty too. It had some oregano or something delicious like that sprinkled on it. And they were like hand rolled logs of delicious bread. And there were so many that I can have some with soup later this week. The delivery driver was polite, though you should probably have your own pen just in case. I don't fault the delivery driver-- ball point pens are fickle beasts. I think Northern Lights just became my go-to pizza delivery.

Since moving to West Des Moines, we have been ordering from the places we are comfortable with like Pizza Hut and Papa Johns. The reasons were knowing these chains and the $10 large specialty pizzas. We noticed that the Northern Lights delivery car was driving through the apartment complex a lot. In fact, more so than the other places. Their price was higher than the others, but the $10 large specialty pizzas were being made with half the toppings - thus the low price. We decided to order the large specialty pizza with cajun crust! It was the best pizza we have had in a very long time...worth the money in every way and loaded with topppings. The crust was seasoned just enough to be like a treat with the pizza and give it a "kick". I highly recommend you order from Northern Lights Pizza and forget the big boys cheap pizzas. :-)

We ordered a scooby snack half cheese half pepperroni n jalapenos and it was basically raw. It was like they cooked the crust and sauce then tossed everything else on after it came out of the oven. The cheese was half melted and still half cold like a terrible frozen pizza and you could still pick up individual shredds of cheese off the pizza. The garlic breadsticks are usually good with a small layer of sauce in the bottom of the box but this time they came in a box full of garlic butter which basically turned the breadsticks into crap. Absolute garbage this time but have had decent experiences with northern lights previousely. When I called the store and asked for the manager the lady that answered said shes not in and theres nothing they could do but send us another order. I then asked for the managers name and when she worked next and then the lady said she would refund us our money back. This was the first and last time I will order from this store!
